Programs for Graduating Seniors:
| ACCESS – Academy for Collegiate Excellence and Student Success |

ACCESS is a “Bridge to College” program to improve student academic performance and assist with the smooth transition from high school to college. Participants take part in a seven-week summer residential academic program and a freshman year component for continued scholastic enhancement. Texas residents who are recent high school graduates may apply.

| ACI – Architectural Concepts Institute |

ACI is for academically well-prepared first-year and transfer students with the goal to accelerate student entry into the study of architecture by completing some freshman courses during the summer prior to regular fall admission. Students take 12 semester hours of architectural courses during two intensive four-week summer sessions. Admission requires honors or regular admission to Prairie View A&M University. Space is limited.

| ESCI – Engineering and Science Concepts Institute |

ESCI is an innovative eight-week freshman summer program introducing recent high school graduates to the profession of engineering as a viable career choice. Participants earn 8 hours of course credit toward their degrees. All engineering disciplines are accepted, but admission is competitive and uses qualifiers such as high school completion, SAT/ACT scores, GPA and similar requirements.

| PCI – Pre-Medical Concepts Institute |

PCI is an eight-week summer program for freshman students interested in pursuing careers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, allied health disciplines and biomedical sciences. Students earn 10 semester hours in college biology and participate in non-credit enrichment courses in chemistry and mathematics. Admission is highly competitive and requires THEA completion or exemption, satisfactory ACT/SAT scores and other criteria.

| STEM-EP – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Enhancement Program |

STEM-EP is a dual-component initiative to promote academic excellence by students who intend to pursue a degree in one of the STEM disciplines. The STEM Summer Institute is a nine-week summer residence program for qualified recent high school graduates. Participants earn 11 hours of college credit. Continued scholarship funding is offered to those who maintain academic excellence each semester. Admission is competitive and based on U. S. Citizenship, THEA completion or exemption, and SAT/ACT scores.
