Today’s businesses need leaders who can make decisions based on critical thinking, who can express their ideas both verbally and in writing, and leaders who are just as effective working alone as they are on a team. This is what we expect of the graduate business student at PVAMU. Effective business communication is a cornerstone of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) degree programs in business in the College of Business.
The graduate programs in business at PVAMU are designed for the working adult. We never take lightly our commitment to working adults, which is why we schedule classes in the evenings and on weekends. We offer a number of study options including online courses and classes at two different locations.
The MBA degree is designed to provide opportunities to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in profit or not-for-profit enterprises. The program integrates various business disciplines to provide the high quality educational experience needed to assume a leadership role as a manager or entrepreneur.
MBA degree plan also offers two different tracks or concentrations for students interested in finance or management information systems. Courses and information are listed in the degree plan. Many courses are offered online.
The M.S. in Accounting program is designed to provide advanced training in accounting to prepare accounting professionals for careers in public, private and governmental accounting. Our MSA program prepares graduates to meet the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy prerequisites for the Uniform CPA Examination.
